Hence Therefore - Bad Hope/Bad Despair EP
Inspired by China Mieville's "The Limits of Utopia", Hence Therefore sharpens his technoid soundscapes - angling into the dancefloor.
With clattering bicycle spokes, experimental choral dirges and polyrhythmic interplay, we are invited to consider how we deploy our dances and despairs, and against whom.

I’ve failed to keep this blog updated over the last year or so - hell, I barely post anything on instagram anymore either. I’m retiring my tumblr - it will no longer be kept updated. But I’ll leave it up as a little archive of what I was doing over the years that Hence Therefore slowly morphed from a lo-fi experimental pop project into (mostly) a club music production & deejaying alias.

Conversely, for my first guest mix of 2019 I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and mix at slower tempos than usual - in the 100-115 zone. This actually gave me heaps more opportunities than I expected to expose my love of pop and to try out some outrageous blends. There’s also unreleased tunes from JQ, Atro and me. Enjoy!

Final Hence T guest mix of 2018 was for Simon Heartfield’s Secret Self show on Seance Radio. I met Simon at R.O.S.H.’s first London show, a party thrown by Negative Space [Ma] at my N16 local, the Waiting Room, so it felt only right to make R.O.S.H.’s majestic Will I Make The Turn? the emotional peak of this mix.
