Superman: Son of Kal-El #3 - Jon Continues to Make Valid Points
Following his rescue of some refugees fleeing the futuristic island dystopia run by former Wildstorm villain Henry Bendix (in terms of personality, image if Lex Luthor had Nick Fury’s job and now runs his own country), Jon goes to intervene when it turns out that the US government has decided to deport them back where they came from despite their risking death to escape in the first place.
Bendix takes poorly to Jon tarnishing his reputation by implying he’s some kind of petty despot, so he does the most rational, sensible thing he can think of...
He waits until Clark heads off-planet due to the things covered in Action Comics and such, and promptly drops a super-dense metahuman on the Kent Farm from a great height, the impact of such reducing the place to a crater and presumably killing everyone inside (probably doesn’t, but it’s really more about sending a message, I guess).
