Thierry Henry's golazo helps NY Red Bulls seal first major trophy in franchise history

Heading into the last MLS weekend, the New York Red Bulls were just one more win away from claiming the first title in their 17-year history (counting the Metro Stars era) - the Supporters' Shield, awarded to the team with the best regular season record. Thanks in part to their world star Thierry Henry, New York finally ended the drought.
Down 1-0 to the Chicago Fire in the all-important last match, Henry unloaded a spectacular goal to tie it up for New York midway through the first half. Henry chested down a long ball from the Red Bulls' own half, waited for the right bounce, and smashed a dipping volley off the crossbar and in. Just, wow:
Probably stunned by Henry's brilliance, Chicago ended up conceding four more goals as New York won 5-2 and claimed the Shield.
Next up: The MLS Cup playoffs, for which the Red Bulls are obviously the Number 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Check out the full bracket:
