They appeared out of nowhere. In the daylight, even, right in the middle of the street. Their fangs were bared, eyes dark and dangerous, and as Hayley looked around a pit settled in her stomach. She was hopelessly outnumbered. Vampires with nothing but murder on their mind had her completely trapped. There was no way she could fight them all. "Henry," she murmured softly, fear filling her. She couldn't let them win, couldn't die here. She had a son who needed her. Which meant she would have to fight with anything and everything she had. Teeth bared, eyes bright gold and a hum of a storm approaching filled the air as the first rumble of thunder reached her ears.
Hayley was not going to let them kill her.
