Dorian: Can I swear?
Henry: Yes, Dorian. I give you permission to swear.
Dorian: F
Henry: Go on.
Dorian: I’m nervous.

Classics/Sea Shanties??
So I wrote a sea shanty to the tune of Wellerman about Oscar Wildes The Picture of Dorian Gray for an assignment and I must share this.
There once was a lad who was bright as day
The name of the lad was Dorian Gray
He made a deal to sell his soul
Of that he was quite afraid (huh)
Soon may the portrait change
And we sing a song that is high in range
One day when the boy has had enough
He'll take his leave and go
He had a friend who was an artist
And a lord who thought he was the smartest
So they lead him to his doom
He found himself in a tomb (huh)
Soon may the portrait change
And we sing a song that is high in range
One day when the boy has had enough
He'll take his leave and go
He had a love named Sybil Vane
But when she performed badly it brought him pain
And so the boy broke off their engagement
Dorian felt some enragement
Soon may the portrait change
And we sing a song that is high in range
One day when the boy has had enough
He'll take his leave and go
His visage never did alter
But his morals began to falter
His portrait was vile
And for a while
He just hid it away (huh)
Soon may the portrait change
And we sing a song that is high in range
One day when the boy has had enough
He'll take his leave and go
For many years he thought he was freed
But what remained were his vices and greed
He found another love
Her name was Hetty
So he spared that girl (huh)
Soon may the portrait change
And we sing a song that is high in range
One day when the boy has had enough
He'll take his leave and go
As far as I've heard he killed his friend
And so our story nears its end
Oscar Wilde wrote quite a tale
To be told over a bottle of ale (huh)

“ The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. ”
Just imagine what would happen if Nickolai Lanstov & Henry Wotton had a conversation. 😂
- Charming puppy and Lord.
