The Picture of Dorian Gray live action was terrible but Ben Barnes was so perfect as Dorian I honestly don't care that he wasn't book accurate.

Dorian Gray but take away the r in Gray
every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself.
-Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
Just finished picture of Dorian Gray and Lord Henry amused me in an evil way like what an intelligent mainupulator is he. A big cynic and strong opinionated . His judgements about the world and this society are brutally truthful to some extent but the impact this man has on Dorian Gray was nothing but toxic it basically ruined that guy . Lord Henry really is toxically admired by me..
When lord Henry said ‘‘To get back my youth I would do anything in the world, except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable”, I felt that.
Να γιατρεύεις την ψυχή σου με το μέσο των αισθήσεων, και τις αισθήσεις σου με το μέσο της ψυχής.
Oscar Wilde

I think your spite glasses look beautiful on you either way.
Oh, they totally do, for sure, but the TL;DR version of the Spite Glasses story is that I picked them out because the optometrist’s assistant said to me, “Oh, you don’t want THOSE, those are Old Lady glasses.”
Dorian: Can I swear?
Henry: Yes, Dorian. I give you permission to swear.
Dorian: F
Henry: Go on.
Dorian: I’m nervous.
