tonight my puppy requested a bedtime story about "how the heroine lost"
--- one of the heroine's greatest weapons was also what caused her eventual downfall it was her unconditional trust in the good of others
she believed, with the right encouragement with the right set of words she would be able to set the evil queen right convince her to mend her ways, and cease her war of conquest
because, of course, the heroine would never be able to bring herself to kill the evil queen so she asked for an audience with the evil queen, and came without weapon or shield
but those things wouldn't have done her any good because when she began to speak with the evil queen, it was the heroine that found herself being swayed
no matter what angle she took, the evil queen had a very persuasive way of framing things and before long the heroine stopped seeing the evil queen as evil, and started seeing her as simply a queen
a queen that saw to the truth of matters that had the courage and tenacity to do the right thing even when it was difficult even when others called her evil
and so
the heroine took up the mantle of her new queen and was her greatest ally going forward in doing many great works that changed the landscape of the kingdom forever more
~the end~
