INGLEWOOD ARTIST 'SiR' SIGNS WITH TOP DAWG ENTERTAINMENT

Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith is proud to officially announce the newest member of the label’s roster: SiR .

The multi-talented singer/songwriter is a Los Angeles native who has already worked with the camp (Jay Rock ’s “90059” and Isaiah Rashad’s “ The Sun’s Tirade” albums) and also released a six-track EP called “HER” in October 2016. His identity has been a hot topic since Top Dawg first mentioned TDE had signed two new “John Doe” artists and revealed that the label had actually released projects from both new signees. Today’s announcement confirms SiR’s “ HER” EP was the sixth TDE release of 2016 and his first with the label.

SiR describes “HER” as a was a way to showcase his desire to make music that spoke to and respected women and it served as a perfect introduction to his work with TDE “I’m proud and it’s an honor,” SiR says of the announcement and reception to “ HER.”

“The response has been crazy. It’s been amazing. I’m just excited that people love the music and are listening. I got so much more to share.” SiR has worked with a variety of stars from Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad and Kendrick Lamar to Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, Jill Scott and Jazzy Jeff . He also released a well-received album titled “Seven Sundays” in 2015. He’s already at work on a follow-up to the critically acclaimed “ HER” called “HER TOO” which is going to be released on February 10. “SiR is a great addition to TDE,” says label president Dave Free . “He’s a talented writer and artist who’s always willing to work hard and push boundaries creatively, making him a perfect fit.”
