Try not to be too jealous, but I found an autograph by Hermann Prey in a second hand store. Am I lucky or what.

Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Die tote Stadt (Acto II, Lied de Pierrot: «Mein Sehnen, mein Wähnen»), op. 12. Horst Stein, director Hermann Prey, bajo-barítono
He has such an effortlessly powerful voice. I could listen to him sing absolutely anything. Here, he performs a very famous folk song assuring you that no one can read your thoughts, so whatever else happens you always have that one last freedom in your own mind. Gets kinda dark in the last part where the sentiment is basically that even if they throw you in jail, hey, you can always dissociate :)) and be happy in your own head :)) good to keep in mind!
Such a very gentle and beautiful rendition of one of the most popular German lullabies by one of our most famous opera singers. Hermann Prey had three children himself, the lucky little shits :)
More fun The Opera which YT showed me. He kissed some woman’s shoulder and promptly got whacked by her with her hand fan. He’s very buttmad about it and feels sorry for himself for 4 minutes straight.
