I woke up this morning and was cleaning the hermit crabs food and water when i noticed sand all over the crabitat tank glass and edges.
Then i noticed they were all moving!!
I have THOUSANDS of recently hatched food mites (or booklice) all over my crabitat and some even got up to the fish tank above.
There is not a lot of advice on how to get rid of them except to do a deep clean but it sounds like they are always there.
Tbh it's freaking me out. Enough where i am considering thinking about maybe possibly giving my crabs away. (I am sure i am over reacting but still i am freaked out for sure)
Does anyone have any advice they can give me for handling this infestation? Or how to live with these pests because everything I read it seems like they never go away : (
