After long years of resistance, I decided to look into getting a smart phone. For most of those years, AT & T has been my cell phone provider. I decided to look at smart phones in my own backyard, so to speak.I found Jack Samsung Smartphone for $ 99.99. (This is a two year contract - otherwise it is $ 349.00) Samsung Jack smartphone has much to recommend it. First of all, Samsung is a major manufacturer of electronics. I have had many great Samsung products, from TV to DVD players.The Samsung Jack smart phone has a touchscreen which is a god size 2.4 inches. Resolution of 320 x 240 is relatively sharp and clear. It may be better monitors out there, but from what I wanted the phone to make it was fine.It took me a while to get used to the Samsung Jack Smart Phones keyboard. It is the QWERTY style, but the buttons are a bit close together. I'm used to typing on a standard keyboard. But Jack Samsung Smartphone beats trying to use the numeric keypad on my old phone to try to send a text.Some of the extra features you get with the Samsung Jack Smartphone is amazing. The camera is 4.0 megapixels, which for a phone, is pretty impressive. I never really thought I would be using a mobile phone to take pictures, but curiously, I found myself whipping out the phone to take pictures of my cats more often than I expected.The Jack Samsung Smartphone GPS is fairly good at discerning your location . I t only took about 25 seconds to pinpoint where I was when I tried out.The built-in media player plays pretty well, even if the volume is a bit shaky. It's hard to hear music with someone in the room talking. I have a problem with the idea of watching movies on such a small screen, but then I really do not like watching them on my computer screen, and it is quite a bit larger than the screen on the Samsung Jack Smart Phone.The battery life of Jack Samsung Smartphone is a bit smaller than I had hoped for. If all you want to do is make and receive calls, it will last for a few days. But if you plan to do any web browsing, or use Media Player or any of the other functions on the phone, the battery will shrink rather quickly.All in all, the Samsung Jack Smartphone proved to have been a good buy for me.
