[You Won’t Believe What Eredin Did After Almost Getting Knocked Out by a Jousting Horse!!]
Ah, yes—let me take a moment to praise my scribe, Eredin.
Despite, shall we say, the unfortunate encounter with Glorfindel’s jousting antics (which, for the record, was entirely not his fault), Eredin remains the epitome of grace and selflessness. 💪✨
Allow me to set the stage.
There he was, Eredin—my ever-loyal and endlessly patient assistant—standing near the grand gates of Rivendell, as the bright sun reflected off the shining armor of the jousters. The scene was one of grand spectacle, horses galloping, lances raised, and the cheers of the assembled elves echoing across the courtyard.
But then—oh, the disaster!
In what could only be described as an unforgivable lapse in attention, the horse—Glorfindel's mount, a creature of untamed vigor—swerved wildly, throwing its rider into the air, and Eredin, alas, had the misfortune of standing directly in its path.
Before anyone could blink, the lance—so sharply poised for glory—struck Eredin directly in the face, sending his curly chocolate locks flying in the wind. His eyes, wide with terror, locked onto mine as his body lurched backwards, nearly toppling to the ground in a graceless heap. 💥
For a moment, time slowed. I could see the light in his vibrant blue eyes flicker, and though the heavens themselves seemed to hold their breath, Eredin, ever the warrior of heart, somehow caught himself just in time, staggering but not falling.
Alas, the indignity—his pristine tunic was stained, his once-perfect hair tousled beyond recognition, and the look on his face? One of utter confusion, as if he'd just witnessed a comet fall from the sky and plummet directly into his nose. The absurdity of the situation was not lost on him, but as always, he stood up, shook it off, and asked—still dazed and slightly off-kilter—"Is anyone in need of a recipe or advice on how to deal with this rather unexpected mishap?"
I must admit, I was absolutely astounded by his resilience.
Even in his state—ahem, potentially concussed, and still a bit dazed from the impact—he had the audacity, the sheer nerve, to ask if anyone needed help. 😮 He even offered sleep advice, recipes (questionable, but charmingly offered), and perhaps a comforting cup of tea... All while staggering like a newborn fawn, still fighting for his dignity.
It’s truly something to behold, I must say. If there were a medal for being unreasonably considerate in the face of physical harm, Eredin would have several by now. 🏅💫
Oh, and did I mention that I had to stop him from offering assistance to Lord Glorfindel? The man was too focused on helping others to realize he might need assistance first. The audacity, truly. 😤
You may feel bad for him, but I assure you—his heart is as big as the mishap he just survived. He’s far more heroic than any of you realize. 🙄
Lindir, Lord of Patience, Still not a twink, unfortunately
