Eee! This made me really happy! Okay. Let's do this. Hopefully I do it right.1. I really like the way my feet look in socks.2. I have gold and grey flecks in my eyes, and that's hella.3. I usually have my hair cut really short, but I really like it at the length it's at (my chin).4. I still have glitter in my glasses from a party I went to in April, so it makes the world sparkle.5. I've never been into a vehicular wreck in my life. :D
I tried to think of something cute I really did, but I'm caught up on the idea of Wrench lying in the hospital for days not knowing where Numbers was.
Oh no. It’s so painful and so canon I might as well write it down. ಥ‿ಥ

He wriggled a bit looking for a button that would bring a nurse. In the process he was reminded of the reason behind his hospitalization. Memories came rushing. Blizzard. Malvo. Numbers! What happened to him? He wouldn’t sit by his side of course. Numbers was either free and plotting getting Wrench out or arrested - doing exactly the same. Obviously there was the third possibility: that he got hurt and was in the hospital as well, but Wrench decided not to worry about it for now. After all Wrench was the one who got hurt more often, not hearing an offender sneaking up on him and so on.
He must’ve made some noise, cause there was now a policeman looking curiously through the door glass. Wrench gestured him to walk inside. The guard shook his head, pulling out a walkie-talkie instead. Huh? Weird. Knowing that he was deaf, guards tended to ignore safety measures to take a closer look. Not this time though. Something was different.
Eventually a nurse arrived. She was talking very quickly and indistinctly. Wrench managed to catch singular words: shot… liver… lost…. blood…. antibiotic …arrested. It seemed the nurse wasn’t aware of his deafness or simply didn’t care. He pointed at a whiteboard hanging on the opposite wall. The nurse raised an eyebrow, looked at the guard questioningly who said … …not allowed... What the hell? How would that be a threat? He tried writing partner on the bedding, but it got ignored. Why these people won’t let him ask about Numbers? What happened? Wrench was getting angry. His fists clenched on their own volition. He pulled at the restraints. He was trying to sit up, fight, wound forgotten. Wrench was ready to force them to answer his questions, when he felt a pang in his right arm and sudden wave of sleepiness. “Bastards” was his last thought before he dropped off.
He awoke sore, with one heck of a headache. It was light outside. Curtains parted, daylight seeping in. Despite his earlier resolution he was worried. It was evident that something bad happened to Numbers and for some reason they wouldn’t tell him. Were they worried it would upset him? Hell, he was anxious already living in uncertainty like that. Staff came and went, nobody telling him anything. He wanted to know what happened to Numbers. He needed to know.
Finally, two or three days after he regained consciousness - he wasn't sure he slept through most of it - a woman paid him a visit. A cop. She let him use the whiteboard. Oh it was a relief. He was going nuts from being unable to communicate.
Partner? he wrote. He expected some stuttered reply about how she's not allowed to tell him but... or her telling him she'd come here to ask about Numbers' location. What Wrench hadn't expected was a shake of head and one short word as an answer:
My favorite fluff is Johnlock A-Z on archiveofourown. I don't know who wrote it, but one of the tags is "literally fluff coming out of your ears" so you'll know it when you see it xD. It's a bunch of little ficlets for each letter of the alphabet, and there's even some Mystrade tossed in there :P
Thank you so much for the rec, lovely! Bookmarked. ^^
