Maverick is Short

Every so often one of the 86 boys will stand beside mav and look over to him, only to meet thin air before having to crane their heads down at him, cause he's 5'6, and 5'5 without his boots (mav wears his boots with a bit of heel that make him a little taller, you can pry that hc from my cold dead hands.). This goes for slider and ice especially, who are 6'3 and 6'2 respectively.

Like ice will be arguing with mav and get in his face only to have to look down at him and come to the realisation for the nth time that while mav has a big personality and character, he's physically very tiny.

Same for slider, one day he tried slinging an arm over mavs shoulders like he does with ice or anyone that stands too close to him for too long, only to find his arm resting on mavs head. Mav took off the boots and is barefoot, so slider arm rests directly on his head. And slider blinks before looking down at a very confused and reflexively pissed off maverick mitchell. Oops.

Hollywood and wolfman love to pick him up and carry him. Harder than it looks. Mav might be short but he's very strong and stocky with compact hard muscle. Lifting him takes effort but the duo manage. Its worth it to hear him giggle and laugh when they march down the hallway carrying the 5'6 aviator between them.

Slider is the only one that can pick mav up without help. Mav can also pick slider up too. With only a little effort.

Merlin is 6'5 and has to sit down to see maverick. How that man fits into the rios seat much less a tomcat is beyond me. Hollywood magic. (And no i dont mean the aviator😂)

“Your hands are so small.”

“What?” Regulus sputters, cheeks turning red as he directs his gaze up at James. “No they’re not.”

“Yes they are. Look.” James gently lifts Regulus’ wrist from where it’s resting on the floor, splaying their fingers out against each other. He does nothing to hide the way his lips curl up into a smirk, pleased at the way the tips of Regulus’ hands barely reach the top bend of James’ fingers.

Naturally, Regulus is easily flustered by the comparison. “My hands aren’t small!” He still insists, rather adorably, James might add. “Yours are just abnormally large.”

“No, they’re definitely small.” James confirms, absolutely beaming. He intertwines their fingers and pulls Regulus’ hand up, pressing a small kiss to his knuckles. “But it’s alright, how else would they fit perfectly in mine?”
