Hi... Curious to see what your takes on Hesperus and Phosphorus would be like??
Hesperus (left), god of the evening star ⭐
Eosphorus (right), god of the morning star ⭐
(So apparently Phosphorus is their name when the two gods are combined ?? I thought it was Eosphorus's name at first... the more you know)
I didn't realize I've been away for so long ! I've been neglecting this account... sorry everyone. I really want to get back to drawing deities and I have many requests I didn't tend to yet. I guess it's a good place to start !
Hesperus
It’s the Star-Planet Guuyyyy!! (Well one of em lol) it’s planet Venus!
I have ramble rambles but that’s for a ramble post. Focus. Design.
I based him on the paintings of him, giving him very curly locks that’s I love. He’s depicted as a youth but I gave him a lil beard cuz… well cuz (I make too many clean shaven guys because I suck at beards and mustaches and drawing dudes, so I gotta work on something)
His skin is based on Venus, but also on marble as that’s what planet Venus reminded me of when looking at photos lol. It also makes him otherworldly which I like (and he can have pops of color this way too because of Eos, his mom, being Dawn)
Because he’s out in space, he has pretty small wings. They’re big enough to him to get around so he doesn’t make em bigger. (He can’t fly when on Earth because of it tho lolol)
Don’t mind his edgy phase, I’ll get around to it lmaoo
choose your venus
I accidentally gave Hesperus gender fuckery. Huh.
Ah well, anyways, go my genderfluid.
Hell yeah, hit all of them with the gender fuckery bean. Tbh that's totally fair lol, it's not like planets have gender anyways
Also there are some art of him from ~1700 where he appears as a woman!

I think he also wouldn't mind pronouns like it/its either considering that that's how Astronomers reefer to the planet ksksksks

Description
Hesperus is the Greek mythological personification of the "evening star" (the planet Venus), representing dusk and often depicted as a youth carrying a torch. As the brother of Phosphorus (the morning star), he symbolizes the transition to night, frequently appearing in classical art and poetry as a serene, beautiful figure.
