Bleary Eyes and Confessions || Hestia and Edgar
As Edgar and Hestia weaved their way up the stairs to the Astronomy tower, his eyes were having a hard time adjusting to the seemingly harsh light, which was actually gently filtering through the stained glass windows. He hadn't been lying when he said that he'd cooped himself up in the dorms. His diet had consisted of Valentine chocolates that a third year had generously donated to him, and tea that he had in reserve in his trunk. He squinted his eyes and jammed his deerstalker firmly over his head, blocking out the dreaded sunlight.
"You know I actually only quit smoking for Rita when we were dating. She said it was a deal breaker." He quipped, laughing sheepishly. He never had wanted to tell anyone this because people had been so proud of him quitting "for his health", but really it was just because his girlfriend at the time wasn't going to have it. Edgar never really had minded the smell of cigarettes or smoke, it reminded him of his father; However, most of his female friends wouldn't stand for it, so he'd always have to either smoke alone or secretly with Ted.
Hey Hestia! How's it goin'? You seemed a bit down the other day. Feelin' better and such?
Childhood Confidants || Remus and Hestia
Remus was meandering around the castle, doing a sort of "pre-patrol" for prefect duties. It wasn't late enough for actual patrolling yet, as curfew hadn't hit, but he was on the roster for that night, so he didn't want to take the time to go back to Gryffindor Tower and get comfortable only to have to turn around and leave again. It was late enough, however, for the vast majority of students to have already taken refuge in their respective common rooms for the night. So Remus wasn't expecting to run into anyone.
He stopped at a window, and sat on the sill, looking out at the grounds. It was the middle of the month, and the moon was but a sliver in the sky, which caused him to smile. He knew it was but a temporary respite, but he liked seeing the moon so slim. Not to mention that he felt the most normal around this time of the month. The wolf's influence was limited. Just the way he preferred it. Then Remus sighed and got up from his seat to go back to wandering around the castle.
He was turning the corner to the Charms corridor, seeing a few students scurrying past, presumably heading to their respective common rooms. A group of Slytherins gave him menacing looks as they past, but Remus didn't pay them any mind. He was just about to pass the charms classroom itself when he heard a noise. Sounded like a person. Curious, Remus poked his head in to investigate.
