"Mr. Jones, we think we've finally found it." One of the crew knocked on Alfred's chamber door to alert him to the discovery. Alfred looked up from his maps and testimonies, suddenly filled with excitement. They had been searching for months on the ocean to find this island, but Alfred had been researching testimonies and stories about the wolf people for years now.
"Are you sure, James?" Alfred came out of his room and headed to the wheel, where the captain and first mate we looking at an island with a telescope. "what do you see?" Alfred was handed the telescope and was amazed to find small children and big dogs(wolves?!) playing in the waves together.
He lowered the telescope. "We found them..." He was amazed, after so long it felt as if they'd never find any proof of this society outside word of mouth. "Let's go to shore."
The captain agreed and directed the crew to prep the rowboats and find a place to moor the vessel. When they finally had the boat secured, they sent out a team for first contact including Alfred, the captain, and two deck hands. Alfred was furiously writing in his notebook on the row to shore, not wanting to miss any detail. They brought some peace and greeting offerings for the people there.
"I do hope my eyes are mistaken in the fact that I just saw you emerge from nothingness...."
Isaac tensed when he heard the voice, slowly turning around to see her standing there. “… Uh…”

@hesuto It was likely an odd sight. Two massive black feathered wings were drooping down out of a tree, nearly touching the ground from how long they were. If one followed them up, they would be greeted with their owner. A pale man, dressed oddly enough in a waistcoat and slacks, dozing in the branches above. Gilbert, had ended up taking a rest in said tree after flying about for hours completely lost. Such was normal when he was out ‘adventuring’ as he would call it. Traveling to new places and worlds was a wearying process and he would never be one to turn down the opportunity to see new things. However, he had made the assumption here that no one would stumble across him in said tree, or at least that he could fly away quickly enough if someone spotted him. He had underestimated exactly how tired he was however and had fallen into far more of a proper deep sleep rather than a light snooze.

“The sun hates me today, go away, don’t look at me I’m hideous, my fatigue is showing on my face it’s horrible.” There’s like...like the faintest mark of dark circles. “Only shadows understand me. I am one with them.”

“Poor fellow, he got wind of the arrest before it actually happened and handed this over to me. He said that if anything happened to him I must meet you here and take you on to-”

“Don’t tell me you’re going in there. Why, it’s swarming with wolves.”
“If something so meagre as wolves could stop me I would not be standing here. Let them come keh heh heh” Anyone who has ever visited the snowpeak mountain knows that these are in fact no ordinary wolves. They are Ice Wolfos, it is as if they were born of the cold mountains loneliness itself…or spite. “Call it a stretch of the legs”
Staring at the wreck before her she sighs before striding forward to aid whoever was piloting the now destroyed craft with her wolf partner to her right, she calls out in lightly accented English. "Anyone alive in there?!"
Alfred had been flying his little plane for fun, by himself, when his engines gave out, crashing him in the woods of an unfamiliar island. He was severely injured from the crash, and was currently moaning in pain from a large cut on his head, and his arm looked very broken.
