I like to think that some of our self-preservation has spread through the world via descendants but the things I see honestly!! it puts the fear into me!!

having said that I’ve been into a lot of woods at night. for some reason the night wasn’t as associated with the fae; it was dawn and dusk, probably because that’s a period of great change and energy and the day-to-night or night-to-day element made the veil thing. solid night was fine, you just had the usual cryptids and ghosts and paramilitary organisations and undercover Brits to worry about then, and most of those are manageable.
