“ --- I’m not sure I even want to ask.”
So most of the time when artists' draw, they make the characters' expression on their own faces (unless i'm the only one that does this). But the thing is, I do this subconciously so when i'm drawing the trash do-S charas, people start looking at me weird because i have the biggest snarkiest smirk on my face

iron bull headcanons (part 3) for @sprinklesobourbon and queenofeden (1)(2)(4) ☾ - sleep headcanon
the iron bull has to sleep on his back. honestly, has to. he used to shift restlessly as a boy, rubbing the buds of his horns against his pillow in frustration (they itch, tama, when will they stop itching?), but his horns aren’t buds anymore, and they keep him from turning his head. he doesn’t mind. he sleeps well on his back, if a little lightly after years of living on a tense energy that kept him vigilant. the only downside, so far as he can see, is that he snores. he wakes himself up with the noise of it sometimes, eye open before he's even really sure what's happening, hand reaching for a weapon - and then he realizes. mostly, he doesn't worry about it. it's more for any partner he has to deal with.
that is something else, he supposes. he likes having another person (or other people) in his bed, but in terms of maneuvering or flexibility in sleeping arrangements, he can't exactly compromise. some of his partners don't seem to get it, look at him as unfeeling when he doesn’t roll onto his side and curl up behind them the way they expect. he doesn’t bother explaining. it's pretty obvious. others understand; many leave. a small few make do. his arms, he has heard, make fairly decent pillows. his chest does as well, and he enjoys the weight of another body settled against his, but he has to fight hard to banish any thoughts of pillowy man bosoms from his head.
he can thank krem for that one.
DSLR things
On Wednesday we had a small DSLR camera workshop with Paul. We got to take out the cameras and learn about the many functions and how to use them. Since I've never used a DSLR camera before I was feeling a little lost and everything was completely new to me. However, I think I should be able to pick it up eventually with practice and such. Jordyn and I shared a camera and since neither of have ever used a DSLR camera before we were learning together. We learnt about photo types (jpeg & .raw), exposure and how underexposed photos can easily be corrected and over exposed photos cannot. We learnt about shutter speed, aperture, camera sensitivity and how balancing the three will result in higher quality photos.
It was a bit overwhelming for me to take on all this new information so when walking around taking photos I just used the automatic function. As time goes on and I get more confident when using the cameras I will surely take more 'professional' photos manually.
artemisxbow:
"Look out!" the archer yelled out to the woman fighting with the creature on the field. She readied her bow, aimed the arrow and fired, watching it sail through the air and hit the flank of the monster, effectively catching it off guard. The monster roared in pain, stumbling back and attempting to find exactly where it was struck. She took the moment to jog over to where the woman was, standing close by to her while she watched the monsters actions. There was already knowledge out there of how dangerous the monsters were becoming outside of the Alnwick, but how dangerous was knowledge saved for those who were on the unfortunate end of their attacks.
And this was one of the moments of being those unlucky few.
"There’s still time to uncover its weaknesses," she mentioned, shooting a quick glance to the other woman, a hand already moving to the quiver at her hip to ready an arrow. "We’ll have to move quickly."
The call had drawn her attention, giving her enough time to roll out of the way of the incoming arrow shaft. The roll turned into a mad dash for the nearest cover watching as the woman moved to join her behind the rock she had deemed a sufficient hiding place for the time. The statement that she had to find the creature's weak point was something that drew a smirk to her face, as she shifted to pull the rifle off of her back.
She had just been attempting to make it to the nearest city, the rebel encampment needing supplies and some of them were not easy to come by, especially when no one lived outside city walls save them.
"If you can distract the damned thing long enough, I can get a clear shot off on whatever part of it is not armored. I'm sure that a round from this thing will put most out of commission."
