I think Elena's an amazing character and people who have strangely higher standards for her should shut up. Within one (1) whole episode they showed us Elena is extremely talented, just wants the best for people, is hispanic(!), loves her family, owns a flower shop, is loved by the entire school, and even shows us she is scared out of her mind but still tries to help. I think Toei did a great job with her and honestly they deserve more credit for it.
