             She leaned back in her seat, wondering why her mentor and something like a mother organized her a driver to take her to her destination. It wasn´t like she didn´t have her own car. Or like she didn´t know the way. She had a suspicion, why she was in the backseat of Jacob´s car. Lorna wanted to keep an eye on her and have more control over her. A small sigh left her lips and she crossed her arms. She was bored and if she was in her own car right now, she´d listen to her music and sing from the top of her lungs. She didn´t want to do that to this Jacob stranger whose last name was unknown. And you couldn´t really sing to Classical music. After a while she looked into the rearview mirror and at the driver, not being able to endure her boredom any longer. “So, do you do smalltalk, Jacob?”

               “You look like you could use a drink.” She´d watched the redhead for a minute and she did look a little stressed out, so Sarah pushed a shot towards her. But she stopped halfway. “Wait, how old are you?” She pulled the small glass back. “Should you even be here?”, she wondered out loud, the mom side of her making an appearance.

Then silence. The machine’s optics moved to the sky, in the direction he was certain Merdegraw might be in. He would never be able to get the memory of once being a phantom himself out of his mind. No matter how many times he had tried to wipe it from his memory banks it still seemed to linger there. 

“I was one m’self. Was decapitated and forced to share a body with someone who shoulda never been woken from the grave.” Wisps of steam leaked from Slag’s powerful jaws. Thinking back on Darkwater brought up old and unpleasant feelings that he had never really wanted to relive. But he knew that he would and this wouldn't be the last time either. Somehow Angstrom would slip into his mind again and haunt him for only the Zoni knew how long. “Besides, there ‘r more than just physical ghosts.” 

And he was sure Jak had to deal with some of his own too.
