Then silence. The machine’s optics moved to the sky, in the direction he was certain Merdegraw might be in. He would never be able to get the memory of once being a phantom himself out of his mind. No matter how many times he had tried to wipe it from his memory banks it still seemed to linger there.

Thinking back on Darkwater brought up old and unpleasant feelings that he had never really wanted to relive. But he knew that he would and this wouldn't be the last time either. Somehow Angstrom would slip into his mind again and haunt him for only the Zoni knew how long. “Besides, there ‘r more than just physical ghosts.”
And he was sure Jak had to deal with some of his own too.
