Ken Ryuji (Draken) and Emma Sano are my ideas of soulmates, both romantically and platonically. The trope of their story, I think I can define it as: "right person, at the right time, but not enough time."
Emma and Draken both lost their lives when they were young, but then they found each other again, in another life(?). This is the most faithful proof, a kind of certainty that their relationship hasn't been consumed only in their "earthly life". I think that their love could be described pure, innocent, truthful. Emma loved Draken, and Draken loved Emma, but in two different ways👩🦯
♡ Emma towards Draken: a perpetual and tireless falling in love, the sweet taste of first love, which no matter how hard you try to forget, will never be forgotten. ♤ Draken towards Emma: a more silent love, which was born more slowly, the opposite of love at first sight, a love that sprouts.
I feel that they're a bit like the sun and the moon😭 The sun, like Emma, illuminates everything around it, always smiling and full of energy and warmth. Her colors are more yellow and pink, bright colors that give joy and cheerfulness. The moon, like Draken, is more hidden but shines like never before during the night. It is more "reserved" in the literal sense of the word, that is, few of the elect can grasp all its real brightness. His colors are more midnight blue or dark purple, more reassuring, and that give greater calm, security, tranquility. Emma is the type of person who also pays attention to the moon that appears during the day, when it's practically transparent or almost imperceptible to the human eye.
The cliché that they don't have enough time hurts a lot I know, but at the same time, I think that theirs is one of the best relationships. They had a kind of happy ending, right?
[ I'm studying other things in literature, even the Greek one, and I was fascinated by their point of view on love. I'll mention only a small thing, a poem by Keiz describes a Greek urn on which a particular scene was represented, later interpreted by him. On the urn was represented this scene: two young people, two lovers, he was probably a flute player who was trying to kiss the girl, but that kiss will never happen, as it is only engraved on an urn. When it is not fulfilled, it remains so blocked and immortal. I know that this exeple was used by the poet to prove the immortality of art(in particular of the Greek one!!), but if you think about it, for Emma and Draken it was a moment of steadfastness(?), in which their love is as if it had "frozen".
This doesn't mean that in both of them the love has stopped growing, on the contrary. As the kiss had remained incomplete, so was their love in this life, but it also leaves something like an immortal and unforgettable memory.]
