Does anyone else hc aglaea having a little resentment for anaxa not just for his resistance to the flamechase but his resistance to her specifically. Mnestia was so devastated by Cerces' misunderstanding of love, that perhaps something of the goddess within her was excited at the prospect of having another chance with the one meant to carry on Cerces' legacy. That maybe aglaea did, or at least anaxa thinks she did, try to manipulate her into a relationship with him, on the basis of their shared fate, when fate, should it really guide their lives, has never dealt particularly kindly to anaxagoras. and maybe she's never sure which part is her and which part is mnestia, to say his name so softly, to follow him with her threads in the few instances he enters from the blind boundaries of her city, to anger at his refusal to make things easy, to simply help her, that feels in some way as though he owes her for his freedom, even though in cases of beauty and love, confinement is a double edged blade...
