Alexus Kain has been a detective for long enough to know a suspicious character when she sees one. And Greyson Wilde checks all the boxes. 

The problem is that he isn’t guilty. 

Not of murder anyway. He also isn’t cooperating, and the case is getting colder by the hour. 

Someone is killing people and she’ll be damned if she doesn’t find out who. For the sake of the city and of her family.

Henry “Hank” Shade is good at what he does. And what he does is solve mysteries faster than anyone else. 

But Wilde is a mystery that’s turned out to be much more complicated than he expected. He may not have killed anyone, but he’s certainly not innocent. 

Whatever’s going on in the city, this Wilde guy is a part of it. And if Hank is any good at his job, he’s going to find out how. 

Even if it’s the last thing he does.

Greyson Wilde is a mystery, and that’s how he likes it. There are dangers that humans have never even considered, and it’s his job to make sure they never do. 

These detectives are getting closer than any human is safe doing. Especially Shade. 

He has to get them off the trail by any means, even if that means he has to convince them he’s guilty. But they’re smart, and that’s dangerous in a world like his.

Humans believe themselves to be invincible until they meet the things Greyson is in charge of keeping secret.

will you be posting how to get away with magic online somewhere when it's done? Or updating chapter by chapter? Will we ever get a chance to read it?

honestly i’m not sure! the only thing i can say for sure is that it won’t be updated as i write, i make too many changes in later drafts to warrant that. it’ll mostly depend on how long it ends up being, i might look into publishing if it’s long enough?? but i’ll still be posting content for it as i write and i’ll give updates about that kind of thing for sure as well! i appreciate your interest!! unfortunately it’s just too early into writing it atm to know for sure haha;;
