“If this place is haunted, does that mean there’s a phantom of the megaplex that’s going to mess with all the movies?”
“So this pub crawl is shirts optional right?”
Mads snuck outside, taking a breath of fresh air and resting her head against the stone cold wall beside her outside of Gatsby’s were people were wandering in and out on the pub crawl. She closed her eyes taking a much needed second to herself, before peaking over at the person beside her and letting out a breathless smile. “You hiding out here too?”
Emma wasn’t far off finishing for the day, and already she was excited to go check out the boat and the other festivities - her grandfather having come and got the puppy so that she didn’t have to worry about her. Given she worked at the hospital last halloween, she’d missed the actual fun part of the night and spent her night looking after the casualties that had come in from the church collapse, she was looking forward to seeing some of the other festivities. Looking up at a familiar face, she grinned, “Uh oh, what happened?” she asked with a grin, “Or is this just a social visit?”
Nick hadn’t dressed up Friday, saving his costume for Saturday and having no interest in dressing up as a zombie or whatever frightful treat that people had in store for the event. Jar of dirt (concealing the third bottle of rum he was on) tucked under his arm he wandered down the main street looking for someone to occupy his time until he’d bore of them and moved onto someone else, and so on until he passed out on his doorstep, unable to figure out how the lock and key system worked. Coming up beside someone he pulled the bottle from his jar of dirt and realised it was empty, and sighed before a thought came to him and he laughed, “But why is the rum always gone?”
“If one more person asks me if I know the answer to all the scavenger hunt clues I’m going to start lying and send all of them on dead-end searches around town.”
“Oh shi-” Ally’s eyes widened as she made contact with the person in front of her. Dropping her bag of ‘tricks’ she was planning on pulling before saying in the most innocent voice she could muster, “I solemnly swear I’m up to no good?”
“H-have any song requests? I promise I’ll try not to hurt your ears,” He smiled awkwardly over at the person in front of him, being on of the local performers during the Friday night pub crawl.
