Bed Ridden
It was Christmas day and you were lying down on the bed with Kyungsoo, the both of you too lazy to get up. “Soo, what are you happy about this Christmas?”
A long, but comfortable ambience filled the room. You weren’t sure if he fell asleep again or if he did not hear you. Turning your head slightly to the left, you could see that he was wide awake, staring blankly at the ceiling. You took this time to fully examine the features of his face. A faint blush was evident on his face and his owl-like eyes that you’ve grown to adore were batting every now and then. Your gaze found its way to his plump, heart-shaped lips, another feature of his that you adore.
Being unable to see Kyungsoo after half a year, you’ve felt empty. As if a part of you was taken and you could not describe the pain. The truth is that you’ve missed him, so much that the pain you have grasped disappeared into thin air the moment you saw him.
If time allowed it, you would spend every second of everyday by his side. The both of you knew that this was not possible and work always came first - no matter how little it was.
Your train of thought was interrupted by Kyungsoo’s morning voice. Deep and husky, but still managing to sound as sweet as honey. “I am happy that my wish is granted. I am happy that I get to spend Christmas with you.”
A small smile found its way on your lips. You snuggled up to him, not forgetting to mutter, “Merry Christmas Soo.”
