you could use this as like, a baseline for teaching what NOT to do. you can make charts and break down every aspect of his backstory and design and it would all be so on the nose it'd be almost too easy. and nobody gaf

Hazbin hotel fans r a riot. He made Al watch him have sex and then stood up naked in front of him… me thinks perhaps he does not care TOO much about that guys consent when it comes to touching his shoulders 😭 like I get that technically this person is talking about before they were enemies but it still stands: TV head is not a particularly “consent first” kinda guy. Neither is Al but that doesn’t mean he likes being on the receiving end

Like it is both possible for Vox to be a creep (he demonstrably is) and for Al to not like his brand of creepiness & find it tacky & gross- AND for Al to be a creep in his own right. I wish I could post about literally anything else btw this is hell for me. They put me in my own fucking hazbinhothell. I went years without ever talking about it but all it takes is a few bad weeks and not having any money and the next season dropping and my friend explaining all the things he hates about it and my dads health deteriorating and my grandparents slowly dying and now it’s like a magnet for all my frustrations now. Hell. They put me in pink yellow hell which sucks cuz my favorite colors are so close to that but decidedly NOT that. Which is kinda a good metaphor for my feelings about the whole thing actually….

Always annoying when ppl hate something u hate for the wrong reasons. I don’t care if the characters who are canonically evil and fucked up do fucked up things, I care if the narrative is extremely racist in a largely unexamined way by both itself and its fans. UGHHHHH WHATEVER !!

Hazbin hotel is pretty good if you ignore all the bad things in the text and kind of hand wave the basic premise as obviously shitty and pretend the theology isn’t what it is and also ignore the fact it’s got one of the most racist and whitest fandoms I’ve seen in the modern era
