Medication in South Sudan is expensive, and on top of that they still need money for food and rent. From whatever blog I decide to post a thought from when I am posting in support of "violence is the answer" in response to racism, someone always tries to point out the danger in reacting violently to racism and to that I say: I know, and yet it is my choice.

If somebody's response to you rocking they shit because they were being racist, is them shooting you in the forehead, I need you to understand that that is somebody who was gonna do something like that anyway. You're not being murdered for the sake of giving in to violence. You're being murdered because that racist you punched is a murderer.

Some will say "You gave them what they wanted." I don't care what they wanted. What I want is to hurt you in the face when you're being racist towards me. I can very well get murdered by a racist person in everyday life for no good reason. This is a thing that happens to people all the time and I am not above it. I simply haven't had that type of interaction with a racist murderer yet. But in fact, in the era that I adopted this belief in responding with fists to the violence of racism, I was at my most radical and most likely chances to be harmed by a racist.

I decided that the chance of being shut down by violence and being remembered as someone who "deserved it" true story.. in hypothetical situations about being murdered during one of my things that I would do when I was younger, several people believed that if I were killed doong certain things that it would be because I was doing those things. Like challenging authorities and refusing to let people violate me, and so forth.

That really opened my eyes about a lot of things. When women who remind me of me are murdered and people who know me announce reasons why they "see why" these women are murdered, I drew the conclusions that if I should die standing up for myself, I would be blamed by enough people to fill a hashtag.

So, please believe me when I say that I know it's hard to stand up for yourself and even to fight. But nobody should be allowed to be racist against you without repercussions and people are protected in such a way that repercussions are generally not enough for the antiblackness visited upon you. You might not be able to affect them the way that they affect you. But one thing is certain. That swift lesson in watching their mouth will stick with them AND, if you're anything like me, it is a statement of self worth.

I don't care if you can beat my ass. I don't care if you can kill me. I'm giving you the energy that what you did stirred up in me. And I will never regret it. Every racist that ever existed deserved to be contacted with violence and if you think the violence "didn't make them better," its not supposed to. It was to let them know that some of us will hit them and they have the choice on whether that teaches them to be better or to at least shut up. If they respond with more racism, baby that's just who they were and cheers to you, you did the work of a god by hitting them for it.

That would have been an incredible episode of Batman: The Animated Series, though. Joker gets out of Arkham, having convinced the psychs he's rehabilitated by speaking in fluent Therapy. Bats spends the entire episode losing his mind, because he KNOWS it's an act because NO ONE TALKS LIKE THAT and Joker reacts with total calm and understanding when he finds Batman in his pantry at 2AM. "You're violating a boundary right now, but I realize this behavior is caused by a history of trauma. Can we talk about how your inability to trust negatively affects those around you?" Meanwhile steam is just coming out of Batman's ears

according to my sibling my father recently had 4 adult boars and 13 boarlets break into his backyard and he had to try and chase them away with a shovel but they didn't really gaf and he was really scared and really wanted the boars to leave before they could fuck up his vegetable garden but it took them forever to go away and they did dig some shit up. im crying thats such an absurd number of boars given how small his backyard is. i like that he counted the boarlets. picturing his gay ass waving a shovel at the boars and they just do not care

I have not seen Project Hail Mary

I'm looking forward to watching Project Hail Mary with Avery because then I can unblock the Project Hail Mary tag and read everyone's Tumblr Posts about it.

The tag is blocked because I'd like to avoid spoilers, but of course sometimes they sneak through and I extrapolate very correct trivia and plot points that will no doubt ruin my experience of the film.

Here's what I've got so far.

Ryland Grace is an asexual, neurodivergent teacher who lives in the 90s and cannot wear glasses. He is played by Ryan Gosling.

He goes to space. I'm not sure why. Does he win a raffle?

Everyone else he goes to space with dies somehow I think. Or he went to space alone (less likely). I think based on statistical probability he goes with other people and they all die and he has to learn how to survive alone in space, like the Martian. Wait, is Matt Damon one of his colleagues?? I guess he dies en route then.

He meets an alien made of rock, whom he calls Rocky. Rocky is an astrophage, which I have to assume means "star eater". Damn, Rocky. (I think Rocky is probably even less able to wear glasses, but it's okay because he doesn't have eyes.)

Rocky lives in a terrarium and is made of legs.

They have to learn how to communicate. Ryland Grace is the only one who could have done it because he's beautiful/unconventional (is he a Tumblr Sexy Man?) and a teacher.

This saves the day? Or, Rocky and Ryland save the day together against a secret third thing? Unclear on this.

Ryland Grace and Rocky start out as enemies but become old friends and walk romantically on the beach together. I'm not sure how Rocky feels about this, surrounded by billions of his pulverised brethren, but fanart doesn't depict any discomfort.

Ryland Grace never leaves the 90s and never learns how to wear his glasses, and Rocky never judges him for this, which is why they are best friends.

So. I ask the important questions.
