Sound didn't travel as well in the water, so Haruka was only able to catch a few words in his friends' conversation.
Transfer student. Disciplinary committee. Really scary.
They must be talking about that new student then. A group of exchange students arrived the other day and about three of them were set in Haruka's class. One in particular caught a lot of attention, especially from the girls. These days, girls seem to prefer the quiet type of guys. Haruka had his days at the center of attention before they all figured out that he was as likely to date as a rock at the bottom of the ocean. This new exchange student would have had a pretty decent shot at being the most loved guy in class if he didn't look at everyone like he wanted to rip them up and eat them.
Guess that guy was trying to take over the disciplinary committee now. Shouldn't be too hard of a task. Their current disciplinary committee was made of really relaxed people. Of course, none of this was Haruka Nanase's business. As long as he could swim, all was well.
"Yes?" He floated to the surface when he finally noticed the shadow covering his sunlight. Speaking of the devil - it was the exchange student. What was he doing at the pool, though? "If you want to join the swim club, speak with Makoto."
