I'm going to assume you meant this track. Not that I can really follow up from an ask from 2014...at any rate, good choice!
This was a staple on my MP3 player back in the day. Lots of chromatic movement going on here, especially in the transitional sections. Love the synth in the A section of the melody right from the get-go--it's strong in the highs, so it sounds piercing and a little wet. A very cool thing this song does is keep the melody consistent, while putting a different chord progression in the background. The first iteration of the melody has a minor progression going up (I-bIII-V-bVI-bVII), while the second iteration has the chords in the guitar going down chromatically. Adds a little spice to it on the second time around. Not to mention that classic Senoue slap bass riff bridging sections together. If you squint, it also evokes kind of a secret agent vibe as well--makes sense, given Tails' infiltration mission.
