She ran until her feet faltered from a world so altered Her fire could not handle that in the wind was placed her candle All the wants and needs too demanding her exhaustion only known to her understanding Her life wasn't so unkind but it couldn't reach past her broken mind There is no greater curse than being surrounded in isolation Now ways of escape took up all her contemplations She dreamed of being anything else, a stone or tree Just so long as from her own mind and self she was free
