Merry Christmas and Happy Nosferatu Day to all who celebrate!! I came back from watching the film a while ago and I’m still completely blissed out from all of that perfection. You gotta be a fool if you’re willingly choosing to not see this film on the big screen. I’m so happy I got a chance to do this painting beforehand. Seeing Bill like that was just..wow.😮💨🤌🏻
I officially turned 35! It’s been kind of a tradition for me to finish painting something right before..So this year, it was THIS guy. If you’ve watched my IG stories these past two weeks, then you saw the majority of his process. It originally was going to be someone else but when we got that “Making of ‘The Crow’” footage and I saw THIS image floating around in there?👀 Bitch. Listen. LISTEN!! I nearly lost my fucking mind. The fact that they kept these photos from us THIS WHOLE TIME is a CRIME.😭 I had to do it…I HAD to have him up on the wall. Who wouldn’t want to look at this every day?! But in all seriousness- I’m just happy to have gotten him completed on time and I’m grateful to have made it another year. Here’s to the next.🖤
Out of ALL the other pieces I still have yet to finish, I decided to do something else instead.🥴🎨 I’m still stuck in that mentality of wanting to make more new pieces instead of the stuff that actually needs to be done.🫣

As exciting as this is to get all of this content (this “Making Of” featurette alone is over an hour long!) it’s still SO sad to see how it was handled. There is so much material in here that they could have made a STUNNING companion book to go with the film..that and the fact that even Bill’s makeup artist is reaching out to me asking for these shots and it breaks my heart because, if anything, WE should be the ones asking them for stuff like this..Lionsgate & the toxic crow fandom pretty much are the reasons we didn’t get more than what we got..So disappointed.😞
This was..SUCH a challenge to paint but I’m happy I got a chance to try because I’ve had it on my “attempt” list for a long time now. I lightened up the other side of his face a bit because I wanted a better look at him. The original image was heavily shadowed and you couldn’t really see much. And that vest? Don’t even get me started.🫠
