this is set before his face gets eaten (spoiler ig asdfsdf.) (also Hide is in the states studying bc i said so :>)

Hide always looked forward to the fall when he was abroad, they had the best holidays then.

Hide's friends from the frat houses always dragged him to the costume parties, and the first time he showed up he was baffled. Almost all of the women there were barely wearing clothes, how were they not embarrassed? His friend, Y/N, had to explain that it just was how many young women dressed for the holiday.

He enjoyed watching the scary movies at the drive in theater with his friends, it was more creepy that way he felt. His favorites were the older slasher films.

When his friends from America first introduced him to Thanksgiving he lost his mind. All of this food for one day??? Hide could eat for hours.

He didn't understand the football traditions that many of his friends showed him, why did people care about this sport so much on Thanksgiving??

Hide loved the mashed potatoes, especially the one's that Y/N's mom made. They were his absolute favorite.

When he went back to Japan and told all of this to Kaneki, he just laughed at Hide. There was no way this was how they really celebrated.

I've been sick for a week now. Got any imagines/hcs on how Uta, Hide, or Ayato would react/care for their sick (human) S/O

this is v late but i hope you feel better!! 

Uta 

He is honestly a bit unsure of what to do, ghouls don’t get sick often, if at all. 

Uta does ask if he can get you anything, like soup, or medicine, and he tries his best to grab the item(s) you requested. 

He provides a lot of cuddling, meaning for once he actually stops working to care for you. He will check your temperature often and make sure you’re staying hydrated and getting lots of rest. 

Uta will not let you fight him on staying in bed, if he can hear how badly your throat hurts, or how stuffy your nose is when you protest, you are staying in bed. 

Hide 

Hide will stay in bed with you once he discovers you are sick. He doesn’t care if he gets sick, he just wants you to feel better. 

He will leave briefly to run to the store to grab medicine and maybe some food that would be easy to eat and keep down. 

Honestly probably convinces you to go to the doctor, he is just very worried. He hates being sick and for some reason, he thinks going to the doctor will make you better sooner. 

When he gets sick, you must repay the favor, it is your fault after all. 

Ayato 

It isn’t that he doesn’t care that you’re sick, because he does care, it’s just he doesn’t understand it.  He has never gone through being sick, that he can remember, so he doesn’t get it??? 

Ayato does lay in bed with you longer than usual, holding you close, he can tell you’re running a fever and it does worry him that you are so warm.

If you do ask him to bring you medicine later, he might, he might not, it all depends on his mood tbh, but he will eventually bring it to you, usually just throwing the bag at you and leaving. 

He is really lost, he doesn’t know what else to do so he usually will leave you be for a bit and hope you feel better.

You held onto your inhalator for dear life, tears stinging in your eyes.Breathing still wasn’t easy and you kept gasping for air, your chest rising and falling rapidly, but at least you didn’t feel like choking anymore.Hide slowly rubbed over his palms over your forearms, your back pressed to his chest and his arms around your torso in an attempt to make you feel save.He slowly rose his thumbs to your cheeks and brushed away the tears. “Feel better?” he mumbled and you slowly nodded, becoming aware of how your clothes stuck to your body from the sweat, you felt disgusting and tired.The normally cheerful investigator reached out to grab a water bottle that stood on the table and handed it to you.Thirstily you gulped down the water as he waited patiently with a worried smile for you to finish.As you put down the bottle, he lifted you up bridal style, being careful not to go to fast, and laid you on the couch.You relaxed into the pillows behind you right away, feeling your fatigue taking over your mind.Your boyfriend grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around you. “Do you need anything else?” you shook your head no and reached out for the sleeves of his sweatshirt, pulling him down to your level.He chuckled and cuddled your weary body while you slipped into a peaceful slumber.Arima

You could be in serious danger!”Though you still needed your inhalator, you couldn’t help but grin as you watched your very concerned boyfriend trying to convince you that he knew what was best for you.It hadn’t been a very serious attack, it just hit you unexpectedly and you were panicked for a brief moment as you couldn’t think of where you had left your inhalator.As soon as Arima was able to read the situation, which was pretty quick as always, he dashed into your car to retrieve your “backup plan”.“(Y/N), dear, please. You have to go. I’m taking you now.” You just shook your head an giggled softly, slowly getting the hang of breathing properly again. “It’s ok, I’m fine now. No need to go” you tried to calm him down, earning a sigh from him.“I’m tired though..* you mumbled, knowing fully well what to say to give him something to do.Arima look at you for a moment and nodded. “Let’s go inside.”A smile formed on your lips as the investigator gently took your hand and led you inside as though you were made of sugar and he could break you at any moment. He made you lay in bed and excused himself for a moment, you took your time to get comfy.When he came back, he had two cups of warm tea in his hands and handed you one.For a while you just sat there, drank your beverage and talked. It was private, intimate.You knew that all he wanted to do was make sure you weren’t hurt, and it was adorable in a way, so in that moment, when it was just the two of you, you felt so incredibly loved, it took away all the fear from the previous moment and left you smiling lazily at the love of your life.
