You ever stand in an empty street in the middle of the city at night? You know, everything gets quiet for a moment, but life still hums all around you. And rising up from yellowed cement and hard black shadows, are tall shimmering buildings, miles of glass and concrete. 

If it’s clear enough that you can see the sky, and the smog lays low, sometimes just above the haze you’ll see the light of the moon, reflected off these perfect dark mirrors. 

They play catch trying to hold the shape of the light, never really reflecting its true form or brilliance. It is beautiful, but I still find myself looking behind me searching for the real thing.

That’s like you, you’re the unreal glitter made by man trying to reflect the real thing, and the moonlight that caused it.
