I was a high schooler on a field trip visiting a farm. It was a “banana chicken” farm. The farmer was really proud of his banana chicken trees. They were small palm trees on which chickens grew. The farmer proceeded to pick some of the chickens, peel their skin off like you peel bananas and give them to my classmates to eat.
Taking the ACT for the last time on Saturday pray for me y’all this is it (finally)
Edit: because of superscoring I’m just trying to pull my math up and I just got a 31 on a practice math portion let’s hope that Saturday goes just as well
this is my official application to be apart of the annotating community
the opportunity arose for me to test out annotating for english class. i have to find rhetorical devices for some assignments, and for another i’m annotating little women for a future essay.
Drew some stuff in Chinese class lolz
i hate that higher education is supposed to be about your career. sure i will get a job eventually and hopefully work in a field that i dont get bored with after like 3 years but why cant i just go to uni just for the sake of learning and self realisation. lately i've wanted to major in liberal arts because it encompasses most of my interests and the professors at one uni i'm interested in said it helps you widen your horizons and be more well rounded and make it easier to find a job bc you learn a lot of different stuf and also i may find the right next major better but all the adults in my life are telling me to major in something that will help me get a job in a specific field or make a lot of money or something like that. I'm so tired of this bs. is it wrong to want to learn what i want just for the sake of learning after 12 years of being forced to learn shit that i dont want. no one said that you can only go to the university once and then you have to work full time and all that crap. I'm sick of this society being built on producing workers while treating them badly
