I’ve been increasing my fat intake lately. It’s still within the normal range but it was pretty low before, I tend to unintentionally reduce fat when trying to “eat healthy”, not because I want to avoid fat but because I was avoiding calories (so for example, I would always snack on fruit instead of nuts even when I really wanted nuts, and I would try to eat vegetables with no oil and low oil pastas, the latter of which is literally a sin against God and I apologize to everyone involved) and also so many healthy options are low fat because they think that’s what people want
anyway increasing fat a little (right now just aiming for the high end of the recommended range) because
I’ve had dry skin patches on my legs and arms for months now- they are quickly getting better!
blood tests are showing low magnesium, zinc and vit d which is really bad
portions! training my body to eat smaller portions of filling foods (i.e. normal portions instead of literally absurd portions of very low cal meals) helps me to eat less of cheat-y foods, for example I can now only eat a couple slices of pizza whereas before I was used to eating huge (but not very calorie dense meals) so I’d have to eat half a pizza and more to feel full. Also, I can’t drink as much beer as before which is better for everyone lol. But anyway, basically, eating low calorie meals in large portions worked well for a while in the past but only if I only ate food that I prepared and avoided calorie dense meals forever which is not fun or sustainable.
vegetables taste better with oil on them lol
I don’t want to be I-need-to-eat-now-or-else starving before meals like I was with higher carbs and lower fat. I want to eat regularly but life happens and if I need to wait an extra hour or two for dinner, I want that to be ok
that said, this is spaghetti diet and I will never ever give up my carbs
