imagine disguising yourself as a high krawl in some attempt to Not Die and feeling certain your disguise isn’t gonna work but no one is trying to kill you so.... hm......
Interesting premise for sure 🤔 I honestly can’t see this going well in most cases. I’ll give you my thoughts and a drabble, if that’s okay.
A lot depends on the origin of the Highkrawl. Did Krux create them? Were they there before Krux went evil? If Krux created them, is it possible for more Highkrawl to come into existence without his influence? If he didn’t, what’s the conditions a Highkrawl needs to exist? Would the Highkrawl know about other Highkrawl?I’ll take it that it’s very unlikely of a rogue Highkrawl to just… be, and the Highkrawl know this and will be suspicious of just finding one.Not to mention, how would a human know what traits are natural to a Highkrawl? They’re humanoid, sure, but they have distinctly not-human features.
I wouldn’t put it above any of them to hurt the disguised human to see how their body reacts to injury.
If you ask me, I think all of the Highkrawl except Maja are very likely to simply laugh at, dismiss, hurt, or even kill the person once they figure out what’s going on. Why not Maja? I can imagine her rolling with it to take the human hostage. She could use them to pressure human enemies.
I’ll run with the idea of Maja taking you hostage.

The planet had been experiencing heavy damage over the last few weeks. The entire planet. All around the globe alien creatures – identified as Krawl by authorities – had been infesting both nature and human civilization. They were planet-eaters. Your home wasn’t the only one being attacked in the solar system; they had it out for all planets in the area of space. In this way, at least you weren’t alone to die, but you couldn’t help but try to think of a way out, a way to circumvent your fate.
The situation was hopeless. Your only idea for self-preservation was desperate.
A few days into the conflict information had started circulating about a humanoid type of Krawl, Highkrawl. Unlike the other Krawl they supposedly possessed human intelligence, and seemed to command or control the others. Video footage of them was scarce, but nevertheless you crafted yourself a Highkrawl disguise. It looked horrible and tacky, and attempting to improve it over time didn’t do much good, but a try was better than none. If a Highkrawl were to come anywhere near your area, you would go to meet them. You’d pretend to be one of them, so they would take you off of the planet with them! To improve your chances, you kept up to date with the news to know if there were any Highkrawl sightings.
Eventually, there was one. Krawl invaded your town, and among them there was one Highkrawl. Filled with fear and only barely thinking straight, you put on your disguise, crammed some food and water into your hidden pockets and rushed outside. You barely even registered the Krawl you rushed past and the few people who were staring at you through the windows. You were anxiously searching for the purple Highkrawl and- She found you.
A spiky tendril wrapped around your chest and pinned you to a wall. The Krawl woman came into view and walked closer. She looked you up and down with a both hostile and questioning look; confusion could only be assume because she showed none. You tried to talk while under her gaze, but all you could sputter was various short “Uh”s.
Finally she looked at your eyes – your very non-human looking, fake lens covered eyes – and spoke. “ And you are?”
It took another “Uh” and an “Uhm” before you told her a made-up name. She raised her chin, as if looking down on you. You realized she might want more than just a name. “I’ve been trapped on this human planet! Please! Take me with you!”
Maja huffed at this. She threw you to the floor with her tendril and let go. The impact was enough to not let you get up again right away. “Very believable. I’m certain He would have informed us about a lost Highkrawl. Say, why did you not leave the planet yourself? There are plenty of systems nearby.”
“I… don’t know how…”
The impact of being thrown had torn off part of your disguise. Maja certainly noticed, but her realization was visible in her expression for only a split second. It could have just as easily been mistaken as anger. She stared you down, internally mulling over what to do with such a stupid human. Eventually a broad smile developed on her face, despite her prominent frown.
“You poor soul! Lost among humans with no one to teach you. I’ll help you. Come!” With this she turned around and walked away. You stood up and followed.
