No Way-One Shot

My breath caught in my throat as his words broke through. There was no way, it wasn't possible. It wasn't real, he couldn't feel the same way. My brain fought against my skull, banging on it like a snare drum, and my heart turned to pulp against my ribs. Nicholas Rubiano was the boy of my dreams, I had liked him since 4th grade... "Malorie? Are you okay?" he began shifting on his feet, biting his bottom lip. He lightly pushed my mouth closed with his finger, and chuckled nervously. I don't know what came over me, my hand snapped out and held his hand at my chin, then pulled his face closer. "I like you too." I whispered against his lips, and his mouth pressed against mine. A warmth spread out, starting in the pit of my stomach and growing to my head, toes and fingertips. I felt his lips curl into a smile before pulling away and staring into my eyes. I couldn't stop the smile from overtaking my face as Nick leaned forward and nuzzled our noses together. "You're so cheesy." I smirked, and he kissed me on the lips again.
