Couldn’t help myself but watch another Yasujirô Ozu film. Quite a different experience from watching the charming Good Morning to the tender Tokyo Story. The real magic of this 1953 film is that it’s so simple. It builds slow and steady as each character goes through their day and yet you cant help but feel somehow connected to the whole family by the end of the film.
