Start your day with the aroma of slow-smoked BBQ wafting through the air. This pulled pork recipe combines a flavorful rub, a tangy basting sauce, and hours of low-and-slow smoking to create a mouthwatering BBQ delight.
Ingredients: 4 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed and cubed. 1 cup BBQ rub. 1 cup BBQ sauce. 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1 tablespoon smoked paprika. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Spread the BBQ rub out evenly over the pork cubes. Putting the pork in a plastic bag that can be closed again and again is a good idea. To add more flavor, heat your smoker to 225F 107C using hickory or apple wood. Take the pork out of the fridge and let it warm up in the room. To make the basting sauce, put smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a small bowl and mix them together. Put the pork cubes on the grill's grates and smoke them for three hours, basting them with the sauce every hour. After three hours, cover the pork with aluminum foil and smoke it for another two to three hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195F 90C. After taking the pork off the grill, let it rest for 15 minutes. Then, use forks to shred it. Feel free to put the pulled pork on buns or any other way you like, and add more BBQ sauce if you like.
