Cuyamaca Peak West, West, North, East, and South views. The second highest point in San Diego County. I guess I should get back to life for a few days but I’m very tempted to come back to the state forest here and hike the rest of the trails it has to offer. Has anybody swam in the El Capitan reservoir? Looks like the closest clean body of water. Maybe a future backpack trip from camp to there?! Had to climb on top of a storage building roof for that East view btw 😂 Continued to develop my trail running abilities by jogging the 2.5 miles back down. What I Did Not Know: Harney Peak in #SouthDakota is the #highest point between the Rockies and the Pyranese Mountains in Europe. This according to the plaque on the overlook stone structure at the summit of the peak. My wife and I hiked up the 7000+ ft peak this morning with both kids in backpacks.
