Janna stared at the squirming bundle in her arms, eyes squinted and unsure. She had no idea what to do. What was she gonna do with a child? She glanced around, futilely searching for an idea only to see Thokas. Thokas! Her friend would know what to do!
She sped towards him, a strangled yelp coming from her arms as she darted off. She barely took the time to stop before she thrust her arms out, holding the creature in the air in front of him.
“Thokas! I don’t want to be a mom! I don’t know what to feed a child!” She cried, wiggling the small being in her hands in emphasis. It growled in response, trying to slash at her with tiny claws and struggling in her hold. It made a vague “mawm” sound as it screamed at her, black eyes filled with malice and pointed tail lashing about.
“I can’t even get its costume off.” Janna despaired, shifting her hold to lightly tug at on of the horns protruding from the “child’s” head.”
