It certainly wasn’t the best Easter she’d ever had, but she and her father were doing the best they could with their new circumstances. And Jules was with them for the Easter egg hunt, at least, though Becca was afraid to ask if she had plans to go over and see their mother after it was through. Still, Becca entered the Ministry with less of a spring in her step than usual, and as she joined the group of people waiting for the egg hunt to start, she fidgeted with a headband she’d brought, unsure whether to put it on or not. “What do you think – too much?” she asked the person beside her, holding up the bunny ear headband that she was using to overcompensate her lack of Easter cheer.

Blair didn’t usually bother with the Ministry Easter Egg Hunt, thinking it beneath her, but with her parents out of town and her home filled with only the help, she’d been left with nothing better to do. She hoped she’d at least win, though; how embarrassing to come to something so childish and not even be impressive about it. Still, when she went to register and pick up her basket, she scrunched her nose up at it. “Do I have to carry this?” she asked the first person she found, muttering under her breath, “I wish Isaac were here to carry it for me.”

The Ministry of Magic is hosting their 25th annual Easter egg hunt this weekend. While typical Easter egg hunts are for children, the Ministry holds a special event in the afternoon for teenage witches and wizards. The concept is still the same, witches and wizards hunt for plastic eggs throughout the Ministry’s offices in hopes of finding treasure. Rather than the eggs holding any candy or small prizes, each holds a piece of paper with a number on it between one and ten. The witch or wizard who’s paper totals the highest at the end of the day receives a mystery prize. Last year the winner, Emily MacDonald [NPC] took home a Nimbus 2026 and a year’s supply of Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion. Only time will tell what this year has in store.

This event is a Choose Your Own Adventure situation. We have made a separate blog for the event and to participate in it you just need to send “Here comes Peter Cottontail.” Please make sure you send in your ask by Sunday, April 16 at 11:59 PM EST to be eligible to compete. You will then have three days to complete the successive asks before the Ministry tallies results and announces the winner of their prize.

Even though this is not stricly a dash event, we encourage you to post starters for your characters relating to the event, any time after 12 AM EST on Sunday, April 16. Just remember to tag related posts as hihevent3 and hiheventstart. We recommend all starters be posted by Wednesday, April 19th, but characters can keep playing out their threads for as long as they like.
