why do people lack basic human sympathy and also pattern recognition skills?

People saying alligator Alcatraz is not even similar to the holocaust, and deporting “illegal” people to their country shouldn’t be and can’t even be compared to that, is honestly stupid. I’m convinced these people don’t even try to do their research or actually continue to learn!

legitimately for FUCKS SAKE our president and his former unelected “right hand man” did damn nazi salutes (1) (2), has built this shit, and people still deny that history is repeating itself.

I saw so many negative things about fucking “alligator Alcatraz” everywhere on my fyp, since it didn’t give me enough information, and TikTok is not a reliable source, I did my own research, and you know where I went first? Fox News (Not a reliable source either but I like to get multiple sides of the story on politics). To see if even they could defend it, and they could. That’s SHOCKING. the headlines where saying exactly what it was too, one example is “‘alligator Alcatraz’ serves as ‘big message’ to illegals around the world, former ICE agent says”(1) and I can’t comprehend how anyone could read even the headlines on the damn fox news and truly believe that it was a positive thing to be built!

And I mean I don’t know why they are truly excited about this happening for any other reason than they are bigots with no emotional intelligence, because Alcatraz was closed for a reason!!! And Alcatraz was not imprisoning people for the sole reason of their legal immigration status.

so many people in there were at least trying to get citizenship but our legal process is long, racist, and needs reform.

and not to mention the fact that America used to be prided on being a melting pot (1). AND HOLY FUCK the legal system should not determine shit like HUMANS. being “illegal” on LAND just because they crossed a damn “boarder.”

Now that it’s open lawmakers and news reporters are not allowed in. For “safety” reasons (1) (2). That is ILLEGAL. Also, if it’s unsafe for LAWMAKERS and news reporters how can they say it’s safe for the people in there?

they do not care about the people. that is obvious. But their lack of kindness goes so far as to believe that treating other human beings like this is okay and they should lie just to continue to do so!

I’m wondering what will happen next there. What is already happening there though?

this is not okay. While I’ve always been disgusted and disappointed with our government, this is a gross new low, and shame on anyone fucking defending what they are doing.
