Snowfall | Benjamin & Hikari
Shoes crunching against the snow laden ground, Benjamin watched as his breath rose in steamy clouds, swirling in the air before whisping away. Pulling the scarf over his mouth, he silently thanked himself for remembering to put gloves on before trekking up to the city.
Snowpoint was fairly remote, more removed from the other cities in Sinnoh than one would expect. And as it was his first time heading towards the city, he wasn’t able to fly in. Adding in the fact that he had a poor sense of direction, navigating the routes hadn’t been much fun. The blizzards were a bonus. He hadn’t expected those either.
From within his coat, Growlithe poked his head out, squinting against the cold air before burrowing back in. The warmth radiating from the Pokemon helped keep them both fairly comfortable, and Benjamin gently pat the lump in his coat before continuing his way down the snowy path.
The route music softly playing faded out until the city’s music replaced it. Looking up, Benjamin saw that he’d indeed finally arrived, a grove of trees flanking the entrance. In the distance he could see the city’s gym looming, the lights from the window casting a glow over the otherwise pristinely white snow.
He pulled up his menu, reading over the details of his latest assignment. There had been tips about a shady group of players roving the city and surrounding routes. Benjamin hadn’t encountered anyone on his trip but was certain that the report had some truth behind it. He ran his tongue over his teeth, mulling over his next move. Finding a place to stay while he was investigating would probably be a good idea.
He scanned the area, unsure where to head. He did however spot another person. A player? An NPC? Either would work for him. Walking towards them, he lightly cleared his throat to gain their attention. “Excuse me, you wouldn’t happen to know if there was an inn around here would you?”
