To the woman who has had the patience to play the long game, You are an inspiration of strength. You pioneered a pathway for women to be just that, women. We are women, not just the Mrs. of some man. We breath the same air. We bleed the same red blood. We think and feel just as much as a can. So why is there a group of people who think, despite women being just as fundamentally human as men, that it is alright to treat us as if we are less than human? I don’t understand it. Yes, it isn’t as bad as it was in the past, but it doesn’t mean that we are being treated with the same humanity as men are. Today, Hillary Rodham is still treated as less than human. Maybe she isn’t told to go back to the kitchen like she was as the First Lady, but she is ridiculed about the sound of her voice, about how she dresses, about how she appears to the world. Even today she walks the road of politics and is treated just as bad if not worse than a woman in a beauty pageant. Have I mistaken politics to be anything more than a beauty pageant? Hillary Rodham has stayed to play the long game. She gave away her identity to become a Clinton. She weathered the ridicule of being a First Lady who didn’t want to bake the cookies, retreating when she realized it wasn’t the right time . She has walked the runway of the pageant known as politics. I hope people will give her the winning vote that she deserves. No she’s not perfect; she’s human. So thank you Ms. Rodham for having the patience and strength to walk down the long road. Thank you for always doing your best to be kind, but never giving up your ground. Thank you for being a role model to women. Women are human. I am human. And, we are nothing less than that. Thank you Hillary Rodham. Please share! Share our appreciation!
