Hillary 2016 Charcoal on Paper 18x24 Spray fixed with 3 layers, to reduce smudging and provide archival-ability This piece was done using the Reductive drawing method. I started out by printing out the image I wanted to draw, taking my paper I filled up the entire paper surface with charcoal so that the paper is a mid tone grey. From there I draw Hillary upside down erasing the highlights and drawing in the dark tones. When I feel that my drawing is at a level of completion, I flip the drawing of Hillary right side up, and then proceed to add the final details to the drawing. Drawings can take anywhere from 7 to 20 hours to complete, usually taking up my entire week of available free time. Hope you enjoy this piece of Hillary Clinton. I had a blast drawing her.
