🦃🕉️❣️So the Story Behind these Pictures is Quite Interesting, we had heard stories of Himalayan Monal near Kalatop in Chamba for many years, but had never seen this beautiful bird there, so one day I and two big nature photographers Went there for some works and at 2 PM heavy Snowfall🌨started, & we got stuck there. With great difficulty, we lit a fire and Collected water there, and by 5 pm in the evening there had been more than 2 feet of snowfall. And the blizzard lasted all night Where the height was up to 3000 meters. As soon as Morning🌝the Snowfall Stopped and more than 4 feet of snow froze. And it was difficult to walk there, but soon after sunrise in the morning, @amitvakilphotography Sir & Anil bhai g started walking and they took some Beautiful pictures of🌈Nature. We had forgotten about Monal because it was very difficult to find that bird there. In the evening, Me & Amit sir went to see some birds and we were surprised that the birds were looking for food there even in the snow. In the evening we were wandering together, suddenly we saw something under the ditch and as soon as the picture of the bird was taken from the camera, it jumped and flew, his colorful colours shocked us. He was a Himalayan Monal. Amit sir said that today we can take more Monal images, so then three of us walked 4 km in 4 feet heavy snowfall and saw the sunset, And i was a short distance away, than I saw 3 Monals flying from the bottom of the ditch, And we see that in a short time a fierce battle broke out between the 2 male monal's. It was evening, there was no light and It's hard to me to taking picture's, & it was surprising that Monal was 2 km away from us and we had to cross 4 rocks to get there,& our camera range was not so long, but Amit sir quickly took out the camera. 📷And took some great pictures from 2 km away, and taught me to take pictures with concentration in low light that day & we were able to take some pictures, which were the great moment's of my life,As well as God showed us a Jungle cat and 2 marten. Which is the story behind these photos. 📖🖋️ #himachalwildlifepicture ❤️ #natgeo #himalayanmonal #birds @sanctuaryasia @natgeo #birdsphotography #wildlife (at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPGUOxspaLn/?utm_medium=tumblr

Decked out in all the colors of the rainbow, the male Monal is the image of iridescence; green crested head, red neck, green shoulders, blue back, orange tail, and black underparts. When displaying or flushed, it flashes a bright white patch on the back. Found in Himalayan hill forests, typically in areas with extensive rhododendron and bamboo-dominated understory.
