I agree that insisting they’re NOT romantic canonically is kind of a fools errand now (though headcanoning it is fine and great!) but you can’t pretend like it. Was shipping from the start lmao /nm

I probably came off a bit aggressive because of the caps and the exclamation points (I use those a lot for general emphasis), but it’s really annoying to have my mostly-joke post about how stupid it is to act like shipping is immoral while using terms that are currently synonymous with ships and insisting they aren’t (even if flower husbands was originally platonic, I’m almost certain nature wives never was) turn into me somehow being aphobic and against the idea of making platonic content of those pairs

Grians wings come from two main sources, if they are funky parrot wings that’s a mix of poultry man and pesky bird, if they are purple that’s from a wildly popular fanfic about the Watchers from evo

thanks for confirming! i've only been watching for like... a month lmao, so though i've watched a bit of early s6 (for fic research purposes) i'm not fully up on The Lore(tm). i'd heard of both pesky bird and poultry man tho, good to know i wasn't fully off the mark on asusming they'd influenced the wings thing. my impression with the evo thing was that he'd gotten headcanonned as winged in hc and then that had bled over - i've not seen general watcher designs with wings, but i have seen biblical angle-esque watcher grian which is very fun.

also the "very good at flying" thing is phenomenal funny bc from what i've seen he sucks absolute ass at it initially in s6 lmaooooo (though admittedly he gets pretty good at it very quickly).
